GoGirlGo! Curriculum
In 2007, the Women's Sports Foundation awarded more than $900,000 in grant and scholarships to 139 organizations and 14,224 individuals across 30 states. Our programs provide girls and women with educational materials and scholarships, research on leadership development and opportunities to participate in sports and physical activity. Follow the

GoGirlGo! National Grant
$430,000 total will be awarded nationally to deserving girl-serving organizations this year. If your organization supports girls ages 8 to 13 you may be eligible for this grant! Deadline is May 9, 2008.

In 1924, Helen Moody and Hazel Wightman of the U.S. won the inaugural Olympic women’s doubles tennis gold medal match defeating Kitty McKane Godrey and Mrs. Covelle. Wightman also won the gold in the mixed doubles match with Richard Norris Whitman.
